For administrative locations only:
  • (We cannot unlock Windows PW for people at school locations -- see below)
  • From All Programs list, choose Adminstrative Tools and Active Directory Users and Computers
  • Expand the SITES folder
  • Choose the location and find the UID on the right
  • To unlock account, double-click the UID and Account tab
  • To reset password, right-click the UID and choose Reset Password...
  • It may take up to 10 minutes for their lockout to show up here, and/or for your changes to show up there. Have them restart and wait 10 minutes if PW will still not work after unlock or change, or if you can't see they are locked out right away
For school users:
  • No windows password is set
  • Try changing drop down menu to Windows, enter jeffco as UID and leave PW blank. Click OK.
  • If school users tried typing anything into the Windows PW box, have them restart (anything typed into the PW box can cause an error, even if it's been deleted)
  • If that doesn't work, issue a work order for the problem
