  • If the user doesn't know his user ID or password, look him up on Gateway. Give him his user ID and click here for password reset instructions.
  • Ask the user what user ID and password he is using.
    • Make sure the user is entering his email user ID and password and NOT his six-digit employee ID number.
    • Look him up by name on Gateway and determine his correct user ID.
    • Try the user ID and password yourself in the application to see if it's valid.
    • Reset the password if the one she gives you doesn't work. Click here for password reset instructions.
  • If the user knows his user ID and password and can use them to get into Messenger Express, but cannot sign in as an internal applicant, he may be locked out of his account.
    1. From Employee Connections, choose Secretaries under Communities in the left hand column.
    2. Choose Job Requisition, Approval/Selection RW8.8 from the center column.
    3. Or click here to link to the sign on page.
    4. Sign in with your user ID and password.
    5. Click on People Tools/Security/User Profiles/User Profiles.
    6. Type in the user ID and click on Search.
    7. If the box for "Account is locked out?" is checked, uncheck it and click "Save" at the bottom.
