SCM Labs' President is elected Vice President of Services for the Association for Configuration and Data Management

July 31, 2001 - SCM Labs, Inc., a Denver-based software configuration management (SCM) solution provider, announced today that company president Steve Konieczka has been elected Vice President of Services for the Association for Configuration and Data Management (ACDM) (www.acdm.org).

ACDM was founded in 1991 as a national professional organization for people and companies involved in configuration, data and change management in the software products and services industry. Konieczka's role is to head the Membership Services Committee, which establishes and provides benefits for members.

SCM Labs (www.scmlabs.com) is a seven-year-old software consulting and product company with a sole focus on creating effective SCM solutions for clients. The company is "committed to involvement in the SCM community, and furthering the role and understanding of SCM in the software industry," says CEO Scott Lehman.

"My passion is in expanding the ACDM presence, improving the success of CM implementations, and in general, improving the perception that the CM industry has within organizations." Konieczka said. "I have a passion to develop an organization that provides services truly aimed at serving its members' interests."

Current services include a quarterly newsletter, job bank, discounts on conferences and education, an online network of professionals, interest groups, and an annual ACDM conference.

As the SCM community grows and becomes more recognizable as an important player in software development, the need to share our knowledge, set standards, and create effective education grows too, says Konieczka. "That helps us get better at what we do. And our clients get better solutions - everybody wins."

Konieczka will serve for one year with a term ending July 1, 2002.
